The Lake Ugii :: Ugii Nuur

The lake ugii is the oasys for migrant birds.
It is located at the most lowest see level in Akhangai.(Aprox.1300m)

The lake has 25sq.km area and 15m water depth and the tributary river of Orkhon, well known as the world heritage of "Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape" by the UNESCO(http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1081/).

And also the lake is designated wetland under the Ramsar Convention.
It is truly wonderful place for birdlife cranes and ducks, to name just a few, migrate to the area around late April. The lake is also renowned for its fishing. The lake and Khar Balgasin Tuur ruindcan only be reached from the direct road linking Tstserleg with Ulaanbaatar.
